I know, I know — we haven’t even gotten past Christmas yet and here I am talking about New Year’s Eve! But a girl’s got to plan what she’s wearing!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing a photoshoot with some local Charlotte bloggers! And y’all we had the best time! We shared lots of laughs during our shoot and genuinely enjoyed getting to know each other better!

Josephine, Rachel & Laura are absolute gems! You must check out their blogs:

To me, this is the best part of blogging — the friends you meet! And I am lucky enough to have met some amazing women through this wild blogging world!

OK, onto the outfits! The best part about doing a collab shoot is that you see different styles. So I’m going to talk about how to style your NYE three ways — taking inspo from each of our looks!

the looks.

  • Casual —  for the gal who has laidback plans — think oyster roasting around a fire pit!
  • Sparkly — for the gal who just can’t celebrate New Year’s Eve without a little shine!
  • Chic — for the gal who wants to be festive without being over the top — after all, she’s heading to a fancy dinner with her main squeeze!

casual new years eve.

Truth be told, this is my kind of NYE! We usually host an oyster roast — that was until we had a baby — this year it will be a New Year’s Day {daytime} party!

The perfect outfit for a casual NYE should be a little cozy and a little funky — it is a party night after all!

I love the idea of a chunky sweater paired with a leather skirt. Or pairing a moto jacket with a velvet jogger!

my picks.

Sequins are a no-brainer for a New Year’s Eve look. But I love dressing them down some — by adding a leather skirt or even a chunky sweater over a sequin dress!

Not in the mood to “dress down”? Rock those sequins girl!

This might actually be my favorite New Year’s look. To me, it’s one of the easiest because I’d bet that you have a lot of these pieces in your closet already! And if there’s one thing I love, it’s shopping my own closet!

To jazz up your basic black pants, try adding a snazzy blazer and some statement jewelry! Not interested in black pants? What about sequin joggers with your classic black blazer?!

my picks.

So there you have it — three ways to outfit yourself for New Year’s Eve! Now tell me, what are your big plans?!
